    "We have an older home that required exterior work done on the living room bow window due to water damage. We had vinyl siding above and below the bow window, and one wall of our home that needed replacing, We wanted to replace the siding with Hardie board. We contacted James Kolstad at Active Exteriors in August of this year through a mutual acquaintance after talking to three other companies. James responded right away and supplied us with a very competitive and detailed quote. James also assured us that our project could be completed within a month where other companies could not guarantee the work could be done this year. Dave Thiessen contacted us once we had our roll shutters removed and delivered our materials. Next day Kelly and Dean, our installers, came by and our project got underway. Kelly and Dean were fantastic to deal with. Answered all our questions with a smile and were very conscientious of our concerns and requests. Since our home is older, when they pulled off the old siding they discovered buffalo board that is no longer used. They needed to place strapping on the wall to mount the Hardie board properly but the crew never balked at this unexpected setback. The water damage under the bow window also needed addressing and Kelly and Dean made sure that it was reinforced and strengthened to mount the Hardie board. With the revisions to the original quote, James contacted us right away with the additional costs so that there would be no surprises when it came to invoicing us. Overall we are very please with the final outcome of our project from start to finish. James also recommended to us a great house painter that they use so that we could complete all our exterior needs. We would not hesitate to use Active Exteriors again if we required any exterior work done on our home. Karen and Ray Hall"
