"I initially chose this company for my roof replacement believing that they were a family oriented company, however they clearly are not. From the unprofessional sales rep, to the district manager, communication, customer service / satisfaction is non-existent. Late and missed appointments, ignored calls/ messages….they are too big to care. Seemingly Yellowhammer believes you should work hard to spend your money. There are plenty of professionals out there, choose a company that truly cares and specializes in customer service. A company that will take care of your family, Yellowhammer has proven not to be it."
"In the process of selling our home of 17 years, the inspector identified some roof repairs that needed to be done. Our realtor recommended Yellowhammer Roofing. We called Ken Nickerson, he inspected our roof, got back with us the next day with an estimate. The job was completed on a very timely basis to our satisfaction."
"Horrible customer service!! I had a few shingles lift up/blow off on 8/6/23. I called on 8/7, salesman Jason showed up on 8/9 (he had to cancel on 8/8 due to rain). Following his drone review of the roof, he said it looked like an easy job. The pictures were sent to Production who would generate a quote. Later that afternoon, via e-document, I received the quote, which I immediately signed. Jason said it should be scheduled for the following morning (8/10). On 8/10, I received a revised quote, as Jason incorrectly completed the first version (the amount was unchanged). I later received a second email that day with an acknowledgement form he forgot to include originally. With all documents now properly completed, the job was submitted to Scheduling. After receiving no contact through mid-afternoon the next day (8/11), I called Scheduling asking when my job was scheduled. I was told Sunday, 8/13, which seemed odd, but I was assured it was a work day. Still questioning whether Sunday was a regular work day, I texted Jason. I received no response from him on 8/12 or to my follow up text on 8/13, and no worker showed up either. I also called the main number on Saturday, receiving the weekend answering service. They took my name and number, marked my call 'urgent' and indicated I should receive a call (which I did not). On Monday, 8/14, I called Scheduling, who told me they don't work on Sundays, my job had yet to be scheduled, and someone would be out either 8/15 or 8/16. After telling my story, Jessica in Production was able to arrange for someone out to my house later that afternoon. Javier showed up and spent maybe 35 minutes on the repairs, replacing maybe 6 sheets of shingles. I didn't know for sure how long it took as he left without telling me. I wanted to discuss this fiasco with someone in Yellowhammer management. Ben from Production called me back on 8/14, said he was sorry, indicating the delay was in part due to obtaining a permit from the City of Madison. This was the first I heard that a permit was required to replace shingles (??, Jason never mentioned the requirement), plus I live in Huntsville, so I question Ben's story. So while the quality of the work might be good, based upon my experience and their lack of communication with me, I cannot recommend Yellowhammer Roofing."
